Measure, then optimize

You cannot optimize what you cannot measure! That's why application profiling should always be the first step to improve its performance.

This workshop will teach you to find performance bottlenecks in your applications, and adopt profiling and performance testing within your daily development workflows. You will install tools such as Blackfire, XHProf and XDebug, find performance bottlenecks, test and improve the code of some sample applications.

Included in the training

  • Theory on PHP profiling and performance measurement;
  • Presentation of the basic profiling features of Blackfire and other tools;
  • Exercises for attendees to find and fix performance issues in a code sample;
  • Presentation of the testing features;
  • Exercises to write performance tests;


€ 300,- per attendee excluding VAT. This includes food and beverages throughout the day, including the lunch, excluding diner.
